About Civil Site Group

Founded in 2006, and now headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, partners Brian Cross, P.E. and Eric Gleissner, P.E., followed through with a vision to provide complete land development consulting and design services taking clients from concept through the completion of construction. With now over 50 years of combined project experience, Civil Site Group has brought success to projects in the Commercial/Retail, Medical, Industrial, Utility Services, Residential, Ecological, and Real Estate sectors throughout Central Indiana and the Midwest.

Each land development project contends with unique design and permitting challenges. Civil Site Group has strong relationships with City and State government offices to navigate each project to successful milestones.

Mr. Gleissner is a Principal and Co-owner of Civil Site Group, Inc. He has over 15 years of professional experience in land development consulting and site/civil design for single family, multi-family, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Mr. Gleissner possesses experience in hydrological and hydraulic analysis for stormwater drainage systems, stormwater quality design (BMPs), utility main and lift station design, roadway design, land planning, zoning assistance, public presentation representation, contract administration, and construction coordination. Mr. Gleissner has developed strong relationships with many different permitting agencies throughout the state of Indiana. He is also proficient in preparing construction documents and obtaining approvals based upon jurisdictional agency requirements for the City of Indianapolis, Hamilton County and surrounding metropolitan areas.

He has over 16 years of professional experience in land development consulting and site/civil design for single family, multi-family, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Mr. Cross possesses experience in hydrological and hydraulic analysis for stormwater drainage systems, utility main design, land planning, zoning assistance, public presentations, contract administration, and construction coordination. Mr. Cross has developed strong relationships with many different permitting agencies throughout the state of Indiana and is proficient in preparing construction documents.

GREGORY J. GERKE, PWS, CESSWI

SENIOR ECOLOGIST, PROJECT MANAGER

Mr. Gerke has worked as an ecologist for over 26 years performing numerous environmental tasks including wetland delineation, 404/401 pernitting, design and construction, floral and faunal surveys, watershed projects, natural area restoration, permitting, erosion control, ecological inventories, streambank restoration, benthic macroinvertebrate sampling and related activities. Mr. Gerke utilizes Bio-engineering, Best Mangement Practices, Geographic Information Systems and other technology to solve environmental issues. His knowledge of wetlands, prairies, rare plants, native fauna, watersheds and natural systems and their restoration was often requested by various private organizations and governmental agencies in various Midwestern states. He has performed field work and is familiar with environmental permitting requirements for projects in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and West Virginia.

As a Senior Ecologist and project manager at CSG, Mr. Gerke has experience specializing in natural resources management and regulatory compliance associated with commercial developments, solid waste facilities, mining and energy transmission. Examples of projects Mr. Gerke has managed include wetland delineation, 404/401 pernitting, design and construction, floral and faunal surveys, watershed projects, natural area restoration, permitting, erosion control, ecological inventories, streambank restoration and benthic macroinvertebrate sampling and similar projects as they relate to industry needs.
